FAQs
TEMPERED VS. ANNEALED:
The difference between these two types of glass is how they break.
Tempered glass will shatter into tiny pieces that are not sharp and is referred to as safety glass. Legally, all doors, windows above bathtubs, and showers need to be tempered. We need the correct size for tempered glass because it gets fabricated overnight and there is no changing the size after it’s made.
Annealed glass breaks in jagged sharper pieces. Annealed glass can be customized and cut down in to different sizes.
SINGLE PANE VS. DUAL PANE VS. RETROFIT WINDOWS:
Single pane glass is one single piece of glass in your wood or aluminum frame door or window.
Dual pane glass is a glass, space in between the glass, and then another piece of glass.
Retrofit windows are we windows that we can order for you that come with the frame fabricated around the glass.
